Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc.  This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.

No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.

Event: lecture presented by Glenn Pereira honoring Dr. Shigeo Kondo

Wellesley Weston Learners

Awarded the Order of the Rising Sun Silver Rays by the Emperor of Japan in 2020 for his work in promoting understanding of traditional Japanese culture in the United States and furthering friendship between Japan and foreign countries, Glenn Pereira became interested in Chado-the Way of Tea as a young man. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Mr. Pereira is a graduate of the Urasenke Professional College of Chado in Kyoto, Japan. He visits Japan annually to further his own studies and in 2013 received certification to teach tea in the Japanese school system. An active member of the Urasenke Boston Association since 1983,  Mr. Pereira has lectured to students of all ages throughout New England, and presented the Japanese tea ceremony to diverse audiences, including the Japanese Consulate in Boston.

Presented in partnership with Wellesley Weston Lifetime Learning.
