Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Public forum #2 to discuss MBTA Community Zoning
March 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Wellesley will hold the second of two public forums to discuss MBTA Community Zoning and the Town’s plans for compliance.
In 2021, Massachusetts passed a new law, called the MBTA Communities Zoning law, that requires all communities in the State with access to MBTA transit services such as the Commuter Rail, “T” subway, ferry, or bus service to provide zoning that allows for multi-family housing to be built by-right within a half-mile of station area
Wellesley has three Commuter Rail stops and is a designated “Commuter Rail Community.” As such, the Town must comply with this law by December 31, 2024.
Community members are encouraged to attend the next public forums.
