Submit your event/s here. Note that we limit event listings mainly to free or inexpensive public events in Wellesley, such as talks, films, theatre productions, concerts, etc. This is not a place for businesses to promote themselves, their classes, etc. Please don’t submit events that run for weeks and weeks. We approve event listings before they go live, typically within 24 hours.
No business sales, trunk shows, etc. (those would be paid advertisements). Please go easy on the ALL CAPS, exclamation points!!!!, etc.
We also appreciate any contributions to support our independent journalism venture.
Thanks, Deborah & Bob

Rebecca Dalmas is a pioneer in restoring literacy rates in our society today. With more than 30 years’ experience in working with children and families Rebecca has transformed reading and cognitive development to be more of a joy than a struggle. After completing two degrees in education, and while raising her two sons, Rebecca realized that the ability to effectively process words and use language is one of the most important skills in human development. Her goal is to restore literacy rates in children and adults today. In her research in language development, Rebecca discovered that no matter what profession one chooses to undertake, the level of success will be determined by how well one uses one’s words. Rebecca’s mission is to bring this awareness and the solution to as much of humanity as possible.
My years of being a violinist revealed to me how our minds work. Something I feel is shrouded with so many opinions that seeing through the “ veil” of this appears difficult. My experience in how this works, something the strict discipline of music teaches, I enjoy sharing with others. What solidified this realization is facing a sudden change in my life with the death of my husband. I took what I had learned in the strict discipline of music and transferred this to the education of the child and reading skill development. What I bring in my talk is how I arrived at my understanding through experience and research. And, I share the solution I brought forward, with others, as to how “right measure” develops the potential in our children. For me, the statement “ Spare the rod spoil the child” means through proper structure the potential of the child is realized.
