My parents loved Captain Marden’s Seafoods. I ordered fish (for cooking) from there on occasion and was always very pleased. Great place – and it has expanded well via its offerings in supermarkets. Very impressed with its progress over the years.
As an aside (not the reason I shopped there – just a small world- sort of), I attended WJHS and WHS with Nancy Marden.
My Mom took me with her to Captain Marden’s Seafood every Friday. The place was always busy & Mr Marden was always pleasant & nice. It is a great memory for me at the age of 65. Great fish & shrimp (my fave)
I sure wish I could attend this tribute to a hard-working, wonderful family. As a personal historian, it would be very enjoyable to see the video. Would it be possible to eventually publish it to YouTube or Vimeo after the event? As a former resident of Wellesley and classmate of Captain Marden’s son at Wellesley High School, I’d be happy to make a donation to the Historical Society for a copy of the video. Hope the May 15th Tribute is a memorable. Marilyn (McGreevy) Micciche WHS ’76. Now living in Naples, Florida.
