In honor of the 40th Anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, the Wellesley section of West Suburban Veterans’ District and the Wellesley Celebrations Committee wish to recognize the services of Wellesley Vietnam War Veterans. A Vietnam Era Veteran qualifies if one served on active duty for more than 180 days in the Republic of Vietnam, between February 28, 1961 and May 7, 1975 OR served on active duty for more than 180 days for any time between August 5, 1964 and May 7, 1975. Switzler says veterans will be able to ride or march in the parade, or be at the reviewing stand. Certificates will be issued to those who participate by the Celebrations Committee.
